Abstract processes and conflicts in place/transition systems

چکیده
For one-safe Petri nets or condition/event-systems, a process as defined by Carl Adam provides notion of run system where causal dependencies are reflected in terms partial order. Goltz and Reisig have generalised this concept for places carry multiple tokens, distinguishing tokens according to their history. However, so-called individual token interpretation is often considered too detailed. Here we identify subclass nets, called structural conflict no interplay between concurrency due multiplicity occurs. subclass, define abstract processes equivalence classes Goltz-Reisig processes. We justify approach showing that there largest if only the underlying net conflict-free with respect canonical conflict.

Conflicts in Abstract Argumentation
In abstract argumentation traditionally directed attacks might also be called conflicts if the direction of the attack is not of importance. Recent publications emphasize that argumentation graphs when combined with some semantics feature semantic conflicts that might not coincide with syntactic conflicts defined by attacks. We elaborate on characteristics of various semantics and investigate p...

Participants judged whether two sequential visual events were presented for the same length of time or for different lengths of time, while ignoring two irrelevant sequential sounds. Sounds could be either the same or different in terms of their duration or their pitch. When the visual stimuli were in conflict with the sound stimuli (e.g., visual events were the same, but the sounds were differ...
متن کاملVerifying Conflicts among Multiple Norms in Multi-agent Systems: (Extended Abstract)
Norms represent the expected behavior of an agent in a multi-agent system. Generally, norms describe the actions that can be performed, must be performed, and cannot be performed in the system. Due to the number of norms defined to govern a multi-agent systems (MAS), norms may conflict with each other. Norms are in conflict when the fulfillment of one norm violates the other and vice-versa. The...
متن کاملCognitive conflicts in dynamic systems
In this chapter, we focus on dynamic systems i.e. systems whose state can change without direct action from the operator, such as transport and process control. Within these systems, we will adopt a psychological standpoint to address some HMI problems. We are particularly interested in cognitive conflicts, i.e. situations in which the way a system is mentally represented by its user shows some...
